I don't think so....as I said before, I think the strategy behind Doug Ford running for mayor is a Ford belief the whole thing is win-win. He either wins the mayoralty or he parlays what he expects will be a solid second place showing into a run for the Ontario PC leadership.

(Just like John Tory did)

It's a mispronounciation of "hawked." As one of the cub leaders told my group many years ago, "Bring a helmet. I don't care where you get it, even if you have to hawk it. Bring one, or you don't get to play." If memory serves, we were going to play hockey.

Strange response. Does not seem like a good strategy to me. Makes him appear week or not interested.

Gonna be grammatically pedantic here, but it's "poring over".

But anyhow, I agree with you. If the Ford were truly using this as a sympathy vote technique, I'm sure we'd see pics of Rob. I do suspect it's quite a bad state he's in, and if he's been using oxys recreationally, his tolerance for opiates is probably quite high. I think he's likely in a lot of pain and drugged beyond incoherence most of the time.

Hack, hawk, hock, hork I think in this case are all variations on the same word which is to expel mucus, phlegm, goo, etc.

Unless he's not in bad shape at all. Since the Martrydom of St. Slob depends on all the hype the Familglia is promulgating about Circus Clown all but being on his deathbed, then candid snaps of, say, Fatass stuffing his face with buckets of fried chicken in a hospital gown and looking no different than usual probably wouldn't do their credibility much good.

Ah, but I forget: This isn't Greenstone we're talking about, but a respectable hospital, which likely won't put up with such shenanigans. Well then, maybe Slob is merely going through withdrawal symptoms. I don't doubt he's been drinking/injesting/snorting/smoking/injecting whatever he damn well pleased ever since leaving slobhab...and was probably doing so during his stay there, and well before that to boot. Possibly he's just drying out, which wouldn't be a pretty sight in and of itself. And the family can still hint that what he's going through as more dramatic than it really is.
