Doug's invite email said 'join Rob and myself'. Apparently neither has staff that understand grammar (I'm pretty sure the Fords don't write their own emails or tweets).

Maybe they have staff skilled at impersonating ill-educated, narcissistic, dishonest boors?

Nah … too expensive.

It's looking like the momentum is shifting in Harper's favour. I predict another majority. What does that mean for Rob Ford's Toronto? I guess the PM's SmartTrack pledge will hold. So Ford will campaign against his hero Harper in a way?

He won't get a majority. Plurality at best, but I'm gonna bet that the NDP and Libs go for a coalition government before they let Emporer Harper seize the throne again.

Amount donated to Rob by Tom Barlow, his lawyer at the committee hearing on 2014 election finance violations: nil
Amount donated by Barlow to Doug Jr.: $1,300

In a way? They've already started campaigning against Harper, about the same time they realized they were being ignored by the Harper Crew. Rob & Doug will "campaign" against anyone and anything to get attention.

Harper out and Fords gone by COI conviction would be the best possible outcome for Toronto.

When I get polled I tell them I'm a strong CPC supporter and Harper's my God. I'm hoping every poll that shows them gaining in support will force the sane electorate out to vote that bunch of criminals out of office. Remember Alberta, it can happen.

I'm not keen on that TonyBlairTomMulcair guy, but my money and vote are with Linda McQuaig in my riding.

Claim "hundred of thousands of supporters".

Sell a miserable 260 tickets in total.

Have the banquet hall set up with 260 seats.

Declare the event "sold out".

Does anybody here know Filion? I have no sense of the guy, but the press release sounds interesting. Anybody have any thoughts on what to expect?
I think he's angle is he's the one lefty who sees Ford as more than just a buffoon. He wants to give him a chance and understand what makes him tick. But I think Ford views him as just another NDPer out to get him.

Right now his paranoia knows no bounds...

Communists to right of them,
Socialists to left of them,
Fake Conservatives in front of them...

heres hoping those who are voting NDP because they want to make a point to the Liberals realize this is a anybody but Harper moment
Errrm... the NDP have been leading in the polls (or in a statistical tie) for a big chunk of the early part of this election campaign.

They've taken a dip in the polls in the last few days -- and maybe Mulcair peaked too early, but they're not some "fringe party" barely pulling 10 per cent. I would just as easily say "here's hoping those who are voting Liberal out of lazy habit realize that this is an anybody but Harper moment."

I'll bet you, say, a copy of Fillion's book Harper gets another majority.
