She didn't drop the ball. Her dad passed away suddenly in the fall and her mom has Alzheimer's. She said she doesn't have time to commit to the case. It's just bad timing.

The context is unfortunate, but starting a lawsuit in the public interest and then dropping it made for dirt poor optics, as evident above.

Yeah, she's hardly dropping it for frivolous reasons. And by this stage in the game, what's the point? Even if the court ruled in her favor, wouldn't the resulting "punishment" have simply amounted to another slap on the wrist for the Fords? Which would have given them the opportunity to play victim yet again?
And surprise, surprise: Slob's already lying through his stinking little crack-stained teeth about it.
