Nobody give two sh*ts about the cocaine anymore - it's the pattern of lies (a video that does not exist?), poor behaviour in the public, questionable association with questionable characters. The world has moved on beyond the content of the video months ago...

Valid point Alvin.

Are you 100% certain that Ford is smoking crack cocaine in that video? Not hash? You don't think it should be proven in court?
Do you mean it should be proved in court that he was smoking one illegal substance and not a different illegal substance?

Absolutely.

Are you 100% certain that Ford is smoking crack cocaine in that video? Not hash? You don't think it should be proven in court?

All three reporters who said that they viewed the video said that the pipe was heated from underneath. If you believe that this is true -- and given what's come out today, there's no reason not to -- then that excludes pot and hash, which would be lit directly from above. If the pipe was heated from below, that means it was either crack or meth.

Hey, I may be new to this board, but I feel compelled to say to everyone calling bullshit on Hawc's post right now: no one here needs reminding of what trolls do, right? They say whatever will wind you up. If you want to enjoy the major moral victory won today---the total exposure and demolition of Ford's house of cards---you'll freeze them out. Just don't respond. They don't care about the facts, won't listen to reason. Why waste your time? Seriously, fuck them. They lost.

In fact, if you do want to respond, just write "You lost." That's about as eloquent as you need to get.

Regardless of what he was saying, it wasn't very clear. And even with multiple overwrites it is still sometimes possible to recover data digitally without opening the drive.

I've even heard that, if you have a Ft. Meade budget, that you can use microscopic analysis on a physically "destroyed" disk for forensics. Not sure if it would pass muster in a court case, but spooks generally don't concern themselves with the law.

Now, if you use hydrofloouric acid to destroy the hard drive...

(sorry, couldn't resist)

CN Tower you are being completely disingenuous. You said if the video came out you would change your mind. Now you're saying no matter HOW MANY people see it, there is no proof of what's in the pipe. That's called moving the goal posts. Also, I'm pretty pissed off that the Star did all the work and the Sun is going to profit from their special edition paper this afternoon, after contributing almost nothing to this.

Well, technically going by Information Theory, information really can't be "destroyed" - just converted into other forms. The issue is always reading the converted information.

The Sun is saying he must go and has a special free edition.

TORONTO - We are not lying!

The Toronto Sun is publishing a special afternoon edition of the newspaper Thursday for distribution free of charge at select downtown locations.

The 28-page edition will be jam-packed with startling revelations about the alleged video showing Mayor Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine.

Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair announced Thursday that forensic experts were able to retrieve from a computer a deleted video consistent with one media outlets have been reporting on through the summer.

Also included in the special edition will be information from police documents released Thursday in the case of accused drug dealer Sandro Lisi, Ford's friend and occasional driver, who's now been charged with extortion related to a video file.

Read how police detectives had Lisi and Ford under surveillance and see some of the images obtained and presented in police paperwork used to obtain search warrants in the Project Traveller drug probe.

Don't miss out on your chance to collect this historic edition of the Toronto Sun.

My ignore list grew so large today.

Another thing, Toronto does have a Ford Street. It is next to Miller Street.
