Because they're cocky about how once this socialist government "inevitably" cocks up, the voters will realize their error of ways and go running back to the right. Just like Harris following Rae, or Ford following Miller, etc...
 
Council sure lasted a long time last night. The Alberta election results were coming in before the city manager was chosen.

Ya, like voters are children and these conservative pundits are the only ones who know what's going on. Get that whenever Ontario voters Liberal too.

Ainslie had a motion passed yesterday that the ombud report will be dealt with first thing this morning. After all the housekeeping stuff, of course. Although at 9:45, council hasn't started. I think they are still trying to make quorum.

ETA: council has started and actually Red Door shelter is first. Ombud report is first thing this afternoon.

In case anyone is interested. Here is the streaming link. RoFo is not there, so things are bombing along with non-recorded votes.

Same as it ever was. China has been investing in the oil sands for some time. The U.S., too. Love it or hate it, that's how a free market works. Sawision is a real dunce. Wish he'd see a doctor.

Someone should calculate the cost of that move - councillor, staff time spent on reversing a vote on a per rata basis. Just because someone is being stupid with the button and doesn't read his notes.
