recession proof
I loathe local TV--cringe worthy provincialism at its finest. I do not need to hear about poor natives or someone's dog.

About the Show
The daring new, action-packed game show Downfall is played atop the roof of a downtown Los Angeles high-rise, where contestants quickly try to answer a series of trivia questions against the clock in seven rounds. Fabricated facsimiles of all prizes – which include a pair of jet skis, a grand piano and a new car – are placed on the largest conveyor belt ever seen on TV with a pile of cash at the end ranging from $5,000 to $1 million. In each round, players try to answer all the questions before their prizes and cash go over the edge, off the roof and sent crashing 100 feet to the street below. If the cash goes over the side of the building, then the game is over and that player is eliminated.
If a player begins to struggle for answers to the game’s category-based questions, there are two ways to back up the belt:
what are the "save local tv" crybabies over at CTVGlobemedia thinking when they decide to buy this dumb downed poor excuse of a game/reality show?

stuff which can be donated to the less fortunate especially in a recession are destroyed and this is treated as entertainment in the U.S.A(why I am not not surprised?) and CTV who recently cry to the CRTC claiming they cannot afford local tv is buying this crap?

What a horrible show, breaking perfectly good items for entertainment, when they could be donated, or sold for donations. What a wasteful, tasteless show, this is pathetic.

What a pathetic, tasteless show. I was horrified to watch perfectly good items be thrown off a building! Are you kidding me? There are millions of people on this earth who could either a) use those items or b) use the money those items are worth.
I refuse to watch this show.
Destroying stuff for entertainment? Way to go America.
