There's an architect in New York that most Wired NY members hate with a passion. His name is Gene Kaufman. They've put him down so much that if you google him you come up with this thread slagging him as the fifth listing:

Boy, Kaufman is prolifically bad. I don't know if we have anyone that bad, but Tridel and Canderel favourites Graziani + Corazza come to mind.

Okay the renderings are amateurish but some of those buildings are really appealing. I love how they've kept the classic Gotham forms: ziggurat point towers with water tower hats. You know exactly what city you're in.

I love this building:

Some of their midrise (by NY standards) infill is really good too!

Architecturally, New Yorkers are spoiled.
