Thank you for all the North York updates. Its my old hood but I don't get back often enough. There's a lot of stuff happening up there and I'm glad we're finally getting some updates. Keep it up if you can.

Don't mention it Ed. I had a few hours and wanted to walk around in an area I've never been. Not sure if I'll make it up to NYCC again since I live downtown but am happy to do updates when the mood strikes.

I wonder how long those 4 storey buildings just East of St. Gabriel will last. I believe those are public housing. They are dreadful! It's only a matter of time, I suspect.

Funny how St. Gabriel looks pretty much exactly like the existing buildings when viewing from the West.

Is St. Gabriel a street name? It would make a lovely subway station name.

St Gabriel is the name of the church that owned this land. They tore down the old one and built a newer one on a small part of the site. The rest will be condos.

It is kind of funny how one or two precast pippypoos will transform the St. Gabriel's condos from being identical to their commie/slabby neighbours into a redefinition of European-inspired luxury.

Why would they have to be church members? The church isn't the developer of the condos. They just sold some of their land for it.
