Since when did I ever promote the province deep boring lines? I have consistently criticized the Eglinton West extension for not being elevated, and the only "excuse" I have ever given it is "at least its not at grade".
Now I also used to criticize it not being cut and cover, however I have recently learned that apparently a gas mainline runs under that section of Eglinton which would make shallow tunnels extremely difficult and dangerous to do (relocating a gas main line is no small feat) so I can at the very least excuse that decision.
The only reason why I somewhat support what they're doing at Royal Orchard is because the end result is a line that is at grade along a rail corridor, and while I wish Royal Orchard station was much shallower, that's still a good trade off to get the most important station on the extension at grade close to the surface.
SSE is an absolute travesty that I have no excuse for other than "that's what's already been studied".

They have constantly said that they're working on Sheppard East, and I have no doubt in my mind that they're going to present that project, alongside an Ontario Line North extension in this election. There is no reason to believe that after these 4 priority projects are done that they just have no plans for any future lines or extensions.
