Photos such as these ones are going to be interesting to look back at 10 years from now.
Indeed. I'm amazed just looking back at my 2018 photos of the area when the bridges were still there.
 
Former General Electric Lamp plant site in Oakville after demolition in 2011. The office building was declared a heritage building so it remains. I found it very odd that the interior lights were on at night until a couple of years ago and you could see in while driving past it on the QEW.

Mystery why this large and prime site remains as is after a decade.

The GE plant sustained a lot of immigrant families moving into the Oakville area after the war. The plant opened in 1946. Speaking of ’entitled’ Oakville residents, neighbours and many kids I went to school with were in Oakville due to GE ( and then after 1953 - Ford)
