Had a chance to go out yesterday since the little one and wife were under the weather resulting in the cancellation of the day's activities. It reminded me of how much I miss my Sunday flying!

Here are some random Mississauga shots:

Lakeview area. I think it had been a year and half since I was last here.

Good to see you back Tim!

Good to see you back Tim!
Yes, I flew all four batteries yesterday! Somehow, I need to make more time for me but my little one has activities on both Saturday and Sunday which makes it tough!

So sad to see what is coming to Sarasota and Siesta Key tonight. The place was a second home to me for more than 40 years and after seeing what happened to Fort Myers after Hurricane Ian in 2022, I know it will never be the same.
Here are a few photos taken from 2004-2022
.
Taken over Siesta Key beach two years ago. Looking east. I've stayed in several units in various complexes visible in the photo. I can't imagine those single story white units will survive.

Looking south. That parking lot (Siesta Key public beach) and Beach road was completely flooded after Hurricane Helene two weeks ago.

Most parts of Siesta Key are low rise and will be significantly impacted by wind and storm surge

Siesta Key village. So many great restaurants and bars here. Downtown Sarasota is in the upper right of the frame.

This little row dwelling is representative of some of the older places that are right on the beach. No match for storm surge.

Some of the high rises might fare a little better structurally but the pools and ground floor units will likely be obliterated.

For the longest time, I thought this building was Chicago until I looked at the database map tonight and learned it is actually One Park Tower. Nothing shows on the map for the property behind it and I'm curious if there are any proposals for it currently.

A slammed gimbal, due to the high winds, can make for an interesting, if unintended, shot.

Had a reason to be in Etobicoke this morning so I grabbed the Mini3pro on the way out the door. I had two partially discharged batteries but got some shots of some long overdue projects. Kicking things off with a little retrospective - Bloor and The East Mall.

Last Saturday was just phenomenal. While the wife and little one were out with the car, I flew a total distance of 19.6km and 47 mins of flight time over three flights just from my little sliver of Erin Mills. Here are a few shots from those flights.

The credit river just south of Dundas street:

Ok, that's probably enough for now.

Tim, it’s too bad we could not just have you photo regular quadrants of the GTA on some sort of rotating basis. ( Said tongue in cheek as I am fully aware of time required vs partner, kids, job, family etc etc). These are great photos and so illuminating.

I finally had the farm photographed in some detail and as a planning tool it takes me right back to University Ag Geo and using aerial photos then. But the colour photos and levels of detail gained from todays mobile technologies are much more useful in everything, from assessing drainage, crop rotations, tree cover, historical use etc.etc.

Great photos. Love it every time you post.

I've gotten a bit behind on posting again. Here are some shots from October 20th.
