Ardeen is moving into where Athlete's World was located.

Lacoste took over K Barketti location on the 2nd level midway. Not sure if they will be expanding next door into Jacob empty section, as it block off from the main store now.

La Vie En Rose moving to the lower level where La Senza was located.

Iconia??? is relocating back into the mall on the lower level where the picture place was. They were located as you came in from the bus terminal before moving out.

Sign saids that the new food court to open in summer 2013.

One of the existing empty store by the bulk barn is to become a washroom.

It looks like that corridor will be converted into a store! Hopefully just one big store. That corridor is the type of thing that makes Square One feel like it's downscale, with it's tanning shop and blood clinic. Doesn't fit into a shopping mall of 2013.

Why do you say that? Just because it's all coloured that way or some other reason?

EDIT: I was looking at the map again and it looks like William Ashley is gone?

The fact that the entire space says coming soon. They clearly have a plan for that section to not sign leases for the previous stores there.

I'm going to guess they are gone, as they're not showing up list of stores anymore. The tanning place was called Tantastic.

PJ Pets store is closing, as their lease has expire.

There is more than the run of the mill empty stores in the mall these days and expect that has to do with the plan expansion.

Pet stores in malls are a thing of the past as well. I'm glad to see Square One evolving.

You were correct about all those shops closing:

When the clinic was informed by Square One management some time ago that the mall was being renovated and they would have to relocate, CBS took the opportunity to look for a bigger and more accessible location, says Laura Ashton, community development coordinator for Canadian Blood Services.
They were offered an alternative site in the mall "but it just wasn't going to work," says Ashton.
All of the businesses that were in the designated "health court" at the mall, which included a vision-care store, a music school and a tanning salon, are moving because of the renovation.
