Glad the Costco is open, not sure if I'll ever go there but it should help take some of the pressure off the other south location. Is there a timeline on other developments in Taza being completed? really hoping this works out for the Tsuu T'ina!
If I'm not wrong the Shops at Buffalo Run north of Costco should be done by Fall 2021

I am creating a thread for Taza Park, one of the 3 villages that Canderel has partnered with the Tsuut'ina Nation to develop. This is another comprehensively planned suburban area, so the thread will be similar to the West District and Trinity Hills threads. Taza Park is the village that is adjacent to the existing Grey Eagle Resort and Casino. The other two are Taza Exchange (the one with Costco) and Taza Crossing (no development yet, sandwiched between Southland Drive and Tsuut'ina Trail)). More information on the three vilages can be found here:

I will do my best to keep up on the projects that happen here, but as it is a jurisdiction I am not super familiar with (Tsuut'ina Nation) I will be relying on just checking the development website/newsletter to keep up on things, as I am not familiar with their permitting and notification process.

A concept rendering of Taza Park Village is on their website.

RouteAhead did have a 37 St streetcar, but it ended at MRU.

I wonder if Calgary Transit would ever enter this development. Not only is it in a different jurisdiction/municipality, it does not appear to integrate with the city road network at all. There's just the Grey Eagle Blvd exit off of Glenmore. It's not clear that you'd even be able to walk in to the thing from Lakeview, across 37 St.

Little tech campusy. Hopefully they can learn some lessons from U/D and the area doesn’t end up overly monochromatic.
Interesting comparison, Canderel recently hired the former head of University of Calgary Properties Group (the team that developed University District) to lead the development of Taza. I think it is in good hands. The comparison is apt, as the lands on U/D remain under University ownership, so all of the buildings are on 99 year leases, a similar set-up to Taza I think.

These Triangles pointing west look like they could be a green space with a walking path into the TAZA development.

The city has done transit deals with Chestermere, I'm sure something could be worked out with the band for Calgary Transit to service this. Looks like it should be a dense community, it is probably in the best interest of the city to run beefed up transit to 37th Street and 66th Ave.

There is a third dealership currently under construction, Taza Volkswagen is going in as the building just south of Metro Ford and east of Big 4.
Thanks for the heads up. Found the ground breaking annoucement on Wood Automotive Group's website:

Map has been updated.

So it will be a setup like redwood meadows.

Lots of different potential models. Commercial is used to ground leases so that is more simple. Housing really depends on bringing in a partner—the feds are happy to finance ‘risky’ rental on First Nation land right now at concessionairy rates. Long terms, discounted rates, and we’ll see a big rental development.
