Big things in Scarborough in the coming decades. The Rouge claimed as a National Park, Bluffs trail and Meadoway trails in design, subway extension to the Centre with new Master plan in design, full East-West LRT from UTSC to the Airport in design, Scarb-Durham BRT ongoing, new main hospital to be designed.

Hydro operators resist burying high voltage lines as much as they can. There are other places in the city (like along Bayview South) I would dearly like to see rid of pylons to free up room for other uses but I suspect it will require cheaper high capacity superconductors to incentivise operators to change.

Im wondering if that Bermondsey segment includes a connection to the currently under construction East Don Trail Phase 1?

The Don Trail to Bermondsey segment is part of that project.
Meadoway takes over on the other side of Bermondsey.
Yes, they will align.(roughly)
You can see the proposed alignment here:
Black is East Don Trail phase 1; orange is Meadoway, the road is Bermondsey.
You can the East Don Trail here, not yet paved in this aerial:
The Meadoway Trail will be begin a block north, on the north side of that creek.
