I imagine it will be quite the feeling driving along this stretch once this is completed. With the two halves similar in scale (at the point of the expressway) and identical in materials, it'll be like driving through the middle of a single structure.
 
You won't be driving between buildings. Garrison at the Yards is on the south side of the Gardiner; the Yards at Fort York is on the south side of Garrison. Fort York is on the north side of the Gardiner.

Actually, Garrison at the Yards is on the north side of the Gardiner.

The first shot in the post above is a perfect example of why I'm fine with the Gardiner staying in place. What a cool urban space - and quite unique within the city. Sure it will probably initially become the ass-end of this building, occupied by dumpsters and parked cars. But there's a lot of potential here to do something interesting in the future.

More than half way up now. I enjoy driving in between the "Yards" buildings here.
