It's probably done intentionally like a subconscious marker.

I said it LOOKS plasticy, not that it IS plasticy. I don't care WHAT they're made from it's still ugly as hell lol..

...it looks "airportish", I'll give it that. Meaning, all the hotels around Pearson's seem use that style airportish.

I honestly don't think it looks too bad. Could really have used some brick on the first floor or two like the building on James N.
