i dont know much about the Conservatory Group, do they build good stuff or they build stuff like YC and 50 Wellesley? i mean this could end up like Dundas Square Garden. i remember when people here used to bash Dundas Square garden and now the same people are complementing it.
They've built things with cheap looking exteriors like the Infinity buildings in the South Core. This is why most people in this thread aren't optimistic.

The silverlining to this mess of a building is it will be blocked by 19 Duncan to the north and M+G to the south (presumably).

so bad and so massive ?

I checked out some other Richmond Architects projects, well I guess the bottom half of architecture students in the class also need somewhere to work for.

If Success Tower and YC had a baby, essentially.

While I take issue with this developer, Conservatory Group, and its ability or willingness to realize a building of quality in any way, I don't take issue with this particular design. I think it looks good...in renderings. (It would be a lot better without the waist-high mullions.)
