The plans for the south west corner of Yonge and Eglinton are significant. But also much further away in terms of their timeline. Space in this approved tower would be a good measure while everything is worked out in midtown.

This is a relatively midget proposal for AS, so hopefully they take it seriously. Tall doesn't always translate into functional, energy efficient, appropriate or beautiful proposals. Most of them are d*ck waving contests in fast developing, military autocracies. Nonetheless I preferred the previous taller proposal, and I hope a few stories may be surreptitiously added back somewhat further down the road.

This one did look better taller. There's nothing midget about it. It's somewhere between a million and a million in a half square feet.

CF to welcome Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

The building’s inaugural client is CF’s owner, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, which will relocate their head office from North York to 160 Front Street.

160 Front Street, Design, Sustainability and Location

I'm marginally amused that Ontario Teachers is the owner of Cadillac Fairview; so they are in essence leasing a significant portion of a building to themselves.

A little to simplistic, I realize. Still......

Interesting way to push ahead w/the proposal.
