It's strange but just in the past year I've become a fan of all those red/brown brick late '70s/early '80s Toronto condominiums, including the one seen in your photo.

Thankfully HPA is onto this trend and moving away from the 100% glass look...whew.

Those are some wonderful buildings. And the units themselves and way larger than anything you can find today.

Yep, there are. I'll be keeping my eye out for them when I'm in the market over the next few years. They can be great finds.

I've always liked the modest one wrapping around the n/w corner of Church and Wellington, in particular. Plain but warm.
 
I quite like the "stacked and shifted" effect of the balconies here, and the corner columns angled 45 degrees in plan are a nice variation on the aA aesthetic.
