Looks very bad and boring. Hope it won't get built
Yes, they're rented by professional singles working in the core. Unfortunately, with new build prices exceeding $1,200 psf and rents $4 psf, a studio is all that young people can afford.Bit of a shame there's not a few floors of office/institutional use at the base - with nearby Ryerson University as a likely occupier!
Overall, this looks very mediocre.
Is there really that much market demand for studios? Nearly 20% seems like a lot! Here in the UK, people much prefer to rent/buy 1 bedroom new builds over studios - especially when the cost isn't much greater.
New renderings are updated in the database! The total building storey count remains the same at 53 storeys. The total building height is still the same at 170.65m. The total unit count decreased from 600 units to 592 units. Finally, the total parking count increased from 60 parking spaces to 63 parking spaces.
The rendering is taken from the architectural plan via Rezoning Submission:

No retail? This is a busy urban corner. This looks like a suburban tower with amenity crap at street level lol
the gossip is that demolition of the Esso station is scheduled for August .
Any update or new news on that information
Yes to demolition /cinstruction starting in August ??
