I preferred the earlier iteration of the podium.

I have a sympathy towards the use of brick here.

Also the earlier iteration featured a cornice-like horizontal breaking up the vertical height of the podium; that too worked for me.

The scale at ground level worked better.

The towers look pretty decent, but the podium needs some work. As it currently stands, it looks uninspiring, dull, and doesn't separate itself enough from the towers above. Street level looks bad all around in this proposal.

I don't speak "above sea level" so if anyone can translate parapet height etc. into plain UT geek language (presumably height of tower minus height of location)... thank you in advance ;-). Too lazy to look for further clues in the pdfs.

Parapets are 297.88m and 283.33m.

The podium treatment just became a lot "heavier" and more pedestrian unfriendly.

The colour is removed, the datum line is lost, There is a sense of large vertical blocks on-top of you, and it's just overpowering on the heritage facade. The bent canopy is still nice though.

Hopefully the material expression can still change or go back to the previous one!

This one is the subject of a confidential report to the May 11 meeting of City Council.

Looks like a settlement offer; but no details; alternatively the OLT hearing begins August 8th.

Twas indeed a settlement offer which I take to have been adopted by Council.
Just to confirm that Council did adopt the settlement offer without amendments.

Finally, the total parking space counts were reduced from 297 to 292 parking spaces.

New SPA submission here, January '24

Increase in height being sought here; but look at the unit count bump........that's because residential is replacing the office component here, which CofA nixed.'

@ProjectEnd will be pleased to know there are 12 elevators between the two towers.

@Paclo is flagged for the Database updates.
