In the 80's there was an ugly mint green Italian supermarket here. I used to gawk at it as a kid when going to the dentist across the street.

Oldest possible Google street view snippet from 2007 of the previous building, when it used to be Blockbuster Video.

I'd reckon that the general structural shape and roof may have been the same when it was the supermarket, just with the facade in mint green.

Yes. Just faded and dirty mint green plaster cladding that was cracked and crumbling. I recall there being rounded arches as well.

The store was called Darrigo's.

It was an Italian grocer.

Found that here, haven't dug up a picture yet:


It appears it was actually part of a small chain.

I see them listed here:
