Work is underway beside Toronto Harbour to bring a new neighbourhood to the city. The first building at Tridel & Hines' Bayside is called Aqualina, and it will be joined by several neighbours in the coming years.
First, as a more horizontal building, we're looking at a large footprint here. Second, podium floors always take longer than typical and repetitive tower floors to build, as they need to build each concrete form for the unique floor layout.
A few pictures taken with my cell yesterday on my way to the Desire Lines Exhibition organized in partnership with Waterfront Toronto, and held in the former Monde presentation Centre at 291 Lake Shore East. Anyways, it is exciting to see the neighbourhood coming together:
