Fail. That's going to be a brutally boring corner. I like the C Section at the top but the rest of the tower is fugly! Curves instead of corners at the lower sections would have worked wonders.

Agreed! I was eating at REDs the other week, and it felt funny to eat along Gerrard St, a street you'd never find a good restaurant on a few years ago! I welcome this new sense of density though, should liven up Yonge Street up north!

guys I have a question that what happens if the length of the crown is more than the approved like Aura approved height is 272 and if it finishes to be 273 or 273.5. so is there penalty or charges for the developer.

Strange question. Wouldn't that imply the construction crews made serious errors executing the design? Someone would notice I think and make them fix it.

It won't happen, and no-one would notice anyway, but…

Typically if there's going to be a change to a building's mechanical penthouse to fit equipment that may have changed in the time since the space was first specced out, the developers will go to the Committee of Adjustment for slight increases. Those are always passed.

A crown like Aura's will likely have lots of leftover space hidden under the sweeping rooflines.

Didn't the application for patios get refused at the last council meeting?

Really, I don't see why there would be opposition to patios facing Gerrard, that sidewalk space is pretty dead, even in the summer.

Nice pic ^ by far the best angle to view Aura is from the south/south-west. From there, Aura is a stunner.

Taken today (photo dump). I believe the 79th floor has officially been poured, so they are technically working on the (80th) mechanical level now. I expect it to be a while before we see the roofline constructed.
