TOB4 Rephotography Series: #TOB4People
Hello UTfriends, I haven't done much of Toronto Then & Now Mash-ups in 2014 but within the ones that I did creat I was able to put together this little series: TOB4 People. Enjoy!

Rephotography is the act of repeat photography of the same site, with a time lag between the two images; a "then and now" view of a particular area. Some are casual, usually taken from the same view point but without regard to season, lens coverage or framing. Some are very precise and involve a careful study of the original image.
The Toronto Before People series offers a snapshot of yesterday's Torontonians mixed in with a view of the same location as we see it today. These “then and now†photographs combine the old with the new. While the blending of two images gives a unique insight into who once stood at a particular spot for a picture or what happened at a certain location many years ago. At the same it also gives us a general feel for the past while keeping the present in perspective.
