It would be awesome if one of the Latin American stores in Kensington Market carried them. I'd buy some.

I doubt that the taste on any possible order could compare to what I remember it to be.
Thank you Padre Toledo for all the torontos.
Your Jewish disciple at Catechism class en el Colegio Cruz Vitale en Valencia, Estado Carabobo, Venezuela. Yes, I have my own beautiful story behind it.
P.S. The story of how “Toronto” came about, who made, etc… was printed in one of the local Caracas newspapers a few years ago.

I used to gobble these as a kid, partially because of how it reminded me of my home city on days I felt particularly homesick, and partially because of how good they were!

I never uncovered why they were named Toronto, but my feelings are that it was largely a coincidence. There were no connections to our city through branding and advertisement as far as I could tell.

Hopefully one day it and other Venezuelan brands I remembered as a kid can be exported overseas. Though it is unlikely at the moment as the Chavista governments of Hugo and Maduro have destroyed domestic industry and agriculture.
