And having not one, but two contractors file for bankruptcy while trying to do it.
Though the way the bidding process works for public jobs, might be a factor here.

They are required to use the lowest qualified bidder. Surely a company, with a decent reputation, but starting to get into trouble, will underbid work, to stay alive. But this will catch up with them (though perhaps after those who have made the bid, won the job, have gotten a nice bonus and retired ...).

Got a closer look at it tonight. The bus bays are basically complete too and the GO sign is there just covered. this can definitely open before October. The security didn’t let me take pics of the bus bays, but here is the ground floor of the concourse

Aside from the valid arguments that the design langauge is a bit sterile, much like the rest of Southcore - the GO Bus Terminal/CIBC Branch will have a huge impact on this intersection under the Gardiner. Should go from a route you "have to take" to get to the lake to a route that has a bit of life - especially once 30 Bay is done and the Gardiner on-ramp is removed.

I suspect that that close to the Gardiner, it has to be 'wipe clean'. It's a bit of a harsh environment on that side of the site.
