Yes, this are will be fully pedestrianised and made "nice" but only AFTER the Dominion Public Building project is done, last I heard there will be retail and cafes on the DPB ground level.
That could be a very long time. As a resident in the area, I hope we don't have to put up with aa crappy asphalt strip between Yonge and bay next to this beautiful development.

The Dominion Public project is still moving ahead, it really makes no sense to spend $$ fixing up this 'lane' until the construction is finished. The CIBC work on the south side of it will last until 2025 and the last I heard the Fed's lease on the DPB expires in 2025 too. This will clearly be an impetus to get the DPB project moving and then the two Owners (it's NOT City space) will be able to do as they plan and fix up the walkway.
