I remember way back in 1990 or so the estimated completion date for the full build out of City Place was 2015. They weren't that far off...

It is surprising that they predicted 2015 considering this was well before the condo boom when downtown development was in a slump. And even more surprising that it's taking even longer than that.

Well - they (Concord Adex) did pick up some additional adjacent sites along the way - including Panorama (Lake Shore and Dan Leckie Way), and the residential components of West Block - selling those projects would have contributed to the timeline by which the Concord Canada House site, being the last one, was ready to go into sales.

and 8 Widmer (Central condos)

Not really applicable as it's not part of the CityPlace master plan. Same with Park Place. Sure, it's Concord in Toronto, but it's not CityPlace per se.

And Central has not been marketed out of the Concord Adex sales centre that is now being demolished - the Central related activities do not appear to have impacted, to have extended the timeline of activities involving the presence of the Spadina sales centre.

I remember all the talk many years ago over "Signature" tower and the expected finale at CityPlace.

It's safe to say this definitely doesn't meet those expectations (or hopes).
For Concord's standards, they probably consider this their masterpiece (as sad as that is).

Haha, are we sure it's the last? and that there's not still a sliver of land somewhere around there that they can built on
i always thought they owned the south/west corner of Spadina + Front where the future Go Station is planned?

Sales centre reduced to a few piles of scrap.
