Construction prep taking over the sidewalk and road now.

I have to say there was a certain positive energy downtown on my walk today - TD Coliseum work wrapping up, this in full swing, Design District wrapping up and same with the buildings at King and Caroline. The Salvation Army was also either closed for the day or at least had no-one hanging around out front which made the area feel much cleaner. I also think Return to Office is helping with the downtown pedestrian activity.

Great shot that really shows the difference between cleaned and uncleaned.

I hope they're re-shingling/redoing the roof as well. That'll make it pop against the white facade.
The rendering shows not only a reshingling with historically accurate materials and copper corner accents, but an extension of the sloped roof north along MacNab St:

Yeah this building just needed some TLC.

I am still not sold on that rectangular wooden awning that cuts into the arch for the side entrance - why not give it a real entrance - aka the fabric covered dome that would have originally fit into an arch like that? The modern one just feels like it jarringly cuts into the architecture.

Honestly Core Urban? Please just rebuild the entire city for us. On your own. We will wait.

I keep forgetting to look at the renderings for some reason. That's gonna look nice.
