But it makes one wonder how they did the minor arched ones so easily back in the day..
I mean windows back when that was built are not the same as windows today. Making a single pane glass window is fairly easy to do in any shape, making a double/triple pane modern window in custom shapes is certainly possible, but its not a stock item.
 
Mmm that IS true - it would have been single pane single glazed back then.. not all the complicated stuff now to keep heat in..

still.. you would think .. at least in THIS city, with SO many century homes that there would be a company that specialized SPECIFICALLY in upgrading those types of windows..

I don’t know about that specific type, but there are a few manufacturers of “old-style” windows around southern Ontario thanks to our heritage and the efforts of people to maintain those. It is more of a boutique, Stratford-esque thing, though- not as much here. Waterloo taps into it I believe.

In any case, I can forgive not going with such a bespoke provider. This project looks great and there’s plenty going into it as we speak.
