The solution is not more roads to move cars to the next area of congestion faster. The need is to identify routes for rapid transit and make those additions both rapid and frequent. As Toronto continues to intensify the priority must be transit (and bikes and pedestrians) over cars. If you simply cannot live without your wheels and the ability of travelling at any speed close to the posted limit can we suggest relocating….

The reason for the "need" of cars is s-p-r-a-w-l and restrictive single-use zoning. Bring back mixed-use medium density along with the corner store at bus or transit stops. Stop building the roadways for the "safety" of speeders, but for the safety of pedestrians.

From what I know this isn't true. The tunnel under the ravine still would've been in the ball park of 40m deep - which would've killed the idea of a station at Leslie. Really all that should've been done was they widened the bridge like they did, but put the tracks on the south side of Eglinton, rather than the median.
An even easier option is to remove left hand turning at the intersection.
 
Open houses will be held on April 20 for the west of Yonge and April 27 for the East of Yonge. The following set of open houses will be held in mid-late summer and will be the last set of open houses before this line finally opens. The end is approaching.

Resulting in a 2-km detour? It's definitely not ideal with the intensification around the Don Mills intersection going on as well. Not sure what the trade off is.
Leslie has connections to 3 minor roads between Eglinton and Lawrence, and Eglinton has just the connection to the Celestica site so how many are we really inconveniencing here by eliminating the left? If you are coming from far enough North you would probably just avoid the intersection by turning at Lawrence and coming down Don Mills instead.
