It came out rather dull in the end. The cubes were supposed to be more articulated. That was how it was supposed to achieve its edgy look.

7 January 2013: Missed the best shot: Some units are move-in ready.

9 February 2013: OMG I snapped it by day! Very conservative vs the renderings & esp N-Blox--which imo would've sold well had they launched it in 2011.

I wonder if 59 PM will step in to rescue Neilas' other projects?

30 March 2013: This project reminds me of some of the hipster W'burg lofts--black brick, groovy overhangs, put on hold during the 2008 bust and now being completed, graffiti included.:)

They hyped this project as being next to Grappa...but grabba this--it's now Isabel and you know when a realtor is opening a bar the market is "slow."

You could be hanging around Wythe and N10th for all I care:

I accidently came across their website today and noticed this:

Too bad the actual building is nowhere as elegant and polished as the render.

Neilas have good taste in choosing architects. Unfortunately, their poor acumen translates into few of their projects becoming reality.

On a side note hopefully the neighbouring property can somehow (eventually) compliment this building, and not resemble the cheapo stucco job to its west.

I think the currently building fits in well with the area. not as stunning as the renderings but not bad at all. I think they were wise to go with the darker windows even though it takes away from the look of the rendering to offer the residence a bit of privacy. and I know someone who just moved in this week, the first occupant, so it's finally in the finishing stages.
