From July the 22nd...from the Go and VIA tracks (Cell shot) this project is really starting to provide a well-proportioned built form:

Update:
We have been keeping a watchful eye on the construction site of Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts as the mixed-use development continues its ascent above Queens Quay Boulevard in Toronto's East Bayfront area. In the time since our last update on the complex's RAW and Rafael + Bigauskas Architects-designed office component—known as 130 QQE—the building's 11 and 14-storey tower volumes have topped out, while the cladding installation has made great progress.

Apologies...this isn't a simple one or two photo update....today:
From Harbour Street (Perhaps...I rarely go to South Core, but I know that the Daniels project is in front of the other u/c taller tower...which is Monde)

Looking quite imposing from the west now!

42

I really like the glass of the office buildings. It's too bad the residential towers will get mullion infested/fritted glass instead.

some of GenerationLee's photos of all the parking lots in the area gave me the same feeling I had when I first came to Toronto in 2000 and walked along Bremner toward AirCanada Centre from CN Tower. It was desolate but also surrounded by the city.

This area is set to really emerge into a thriving area. I hope that our development community recognize that they will do best if they design to attract a sizable number of small businesses, with commercial footprints allowing a diverse range of rents, and architectural diversity rather than monolithic corporate park aesthetic.

No flies on Daniels.
