also Cuba.. cheaper because of J. Trudeau the father .... back in the day and trade...Toronto has the 2nd largest food manufacturing sector in north America after Los Angeles. One of the key competitive advantages of our industry is access to refined sugar derived from sugar cane. Factories in the US, for the most part, use corn syrup which isn't considered as good. The Redpath refinery receives sugar cane from the Caribbean by ship and is an integral cog in the wheel.
Younger people seem to equate tech with 'good' and manufacturing with 'bad', One isn't better than the other. Besides, we can't all work for Google.
they've done lot of upgrades and smells less..from 2009 to the date..Yeah, i guess it's old, been there since 1958..that's why it probably isn't going anywhere![]()

Yet another reason for Redpath to move its operations...They are offloading a load of sugar from a ship that is parked across the mouth of the basin next to Sugar Beach, stretching back along the dock wall where that temporary fence is located. So I guess just a security perimeter.
Sorry, why is this a reason for them to move? Clearly they are demonstrating a reason to stay, ensuring safety from all angles of their operations.Yet another reason for Redpath to move its operations...
