College Street is getting this really weird topology like a realm of monolithic beasts — these giant clumsy overbearing towers with big older buildings in between that are much more beautiful than their new neighbours are also often much taller that we see on other Toronto streets like Queen or Dundas or Bloor. I don't like what's happening here, but it's interesting to see and wonder about what the future of College St. in this area will become now that these precedents are set and new high density nodes emerge as the city grows more in general.

^^^ Berlin, with its carefully co-ordinated massing/datum lines/rooflines/cornice heights, Toronto ain't.
