The execution of this project was generally excellent. It's an urbane local landmark in terms of architecture. But the streetside experience leaves a lot to be desired. The wall of glass along the sidewalk feels sterile and generic--an unfortunate departure from the rhythm of narrow storefronts that makes walking Dundas Street West in the Junction a pleasant and engaging experience.

It's also unfortunate that next to nothing was spent on the public realm in front of the building. The sidewalk doesn't even have street trees anymore, unlike before construction.

Had some time before the LCBO opened yesterday so I checked out the rear and side of the building in detail for the first time.
