The spindly red vertical posts on the balconies scream of cowardice: afraid to be large enough to actually make a design statement, either for being afraid to spend what it takes to make something stand out here, or simply afraid to make a design statement in the first place. Likely both. They're a quick indicator of the cheapness of the cladding materials across the building.

It's not so much a "design" as it is, seemingly, the result of a supplier saying "here are all the remainder products we have left in our warehouse, put them all on a single building."

Smaller is cheaper really was the name of the game here. If a developer doesn't want to commit to the costs of a particular design element, I don't see why they even bother letting it get this far.

What is even more bothersome is that all those red posts seem to be lost in gray walls of spamdrel...like they where a spread out cluster of discarded Coke cans floating across a choppy sea. /sigh

I will admit that the one nice thing about this proposal is the little alley that has been created which the townhouse units front. The scale of it, the heritage facade, and the bridging elements above make for a pretty cool urban space. If a decent building eventually ends up on the Volkswagen dealership plot and also activates this spine, would be sweet.

They remind me of plastic stir sticks. Horrendous building. Possibly the worst!

Well, this has to be one of the worst, most unprofessional, messy designs I've seen.
Absolutely god awful.
