Montreal, who we keep being told is better than Toronto at transit planning, proposing a 1.13km stop spacing tramway for East Montreal
The only reason they might be better at transit planning, is because this must be at least the 7th different proposal they've made in the last half-century to get something to Montreal-Nord and Point-aux-Trembles. You can almost guarantee that this won't be built like this.Montreal, who we keep being told is better than Toronto at transit planning, proposing a 1.13km stop spacing tramway for East Montreal
Ye no, after what happened over the last couple of months, I retract every positive thing I have ever said about Montreal/Quebec transit planning. Its quite clear the REM was a fluke.Montreal, who we keep being told is better than Toronto at transit planning, proposing a 1.13km stop spacing tramway for East Montreal
There's always a date in the schedule. You should ask him how many times it has changed.I had lunch with someone who works at Crosslinx and they said they know the specific date of the start of service. Of course they wouldn't divulge even a hint of what it is.
uhuh, and I'm sure all the other dates were believed to be the same. But he said the date is for real and expected to be met.
I'm pretty sure they lost their pants many years agoThey dont want to be caught with their pants down again.
Thanks for that!
Key Bits:
23/40 occupancy permits for stations/major structures.
Yonge/Eglinton substantially complete
System Integration was at 15% in November is now at 28%
***
Phil seems pleased at the above
***
He expresses concern over the signalling/train control system which needs a couple of more releases/iterations to get it to where it needs to be.
***
No date yet.
Just for further clarity (now that I can watch the video in an easier location and can see the transcript), he was referring to the roadworks and didn't mention the station itself.

And I'll correct myself. He didn't say "bugs" he said "ironing out" some wrinkles. So a different analogy.
