Trees! 🌳 Taken 27 July.
I defer to @Northern Light but I would say that transplanting trees in late July is probably NOT a good idea. Pemberton are also planting some at Time & Space which would confirm it's not a good idea :->.

DSC is on point.

Survival rates for trees transplanted mid-summer are lower than those transplanted mid-autumn and lower still than those transplanted in early to mid-spring.

That said, its fairly common for the industry to do it when its convenient for client and then cross your fingers that you don't eat replacing the trees while they're under warranty.

The issue w/transplanting this time of year is that the plants are actively growing, and so require more water and nutrients, and then you slash their roots in order to move them, and then you plunk them down in a new location, in the midst of hot weather that stresses most of us, never mind the trees and when extra hydration is required.

For all of that, if its done carefully, if the planting conditions are good and if there is proper irrigation/watering...... the trees stand an over 50% chance of survival. Their odds would simply be better if planted at a less stressful time in their growing cycle and in the weather.

So the buildings are definitely filling up and sections of the mews are opening. They are putting finishing touches on the daycare. Also of note is the opening of a Persian café beside Parsian Grocery on the south side of Queen. Amazing croissants and coffee! Taken 8 August.

Finally a barber shop in the neighbourhood!
That cafe really needs to close the doors. That's how rats get inside, not to mention a waste of air conditioning/power.
