I believe that the exterior curtain lighting will not be controlled by each unit so that there's a consistent presentation of the red curtains to the street. The curtains are supposed to be thick enough that the lighting won't intrude into the unit.

Those curtains must be operable or that person on level 2 will be seeing nothing but red.

Is there any news on a tenant for the main retail space on King? (not the silverplate bldg which is the keg)

Maybe the LEDs will go off when the curtains are open? I'll see what I can find out.

So, those curtains look sassy, and saucy. Cool, actual colour.

It will be another restaurant, but no, not yet!

I'm really in support of developments who try to mandate the kind of window coverings on their buildings and even provide such coverings.
Almost all condos have a rule of some kind of white window coverings but you will see a mess of various window coverings such as cheap plastic vertical blinds, cinched curtains, venetian blinds, and tasteful solar roller shades which should be the norm, and everything else in between.
I am hoping these red illuminated curtains facing King Street should set a positive precident in buildings creating a specific pleasing look and aesthetic.

There are some condo developments that have rules restricting window coverings to white solar roller shades but still residents put up really bad looking window coverings of all types that breaks the rules and make the building look really bad on the outside. I don't know if people who live there, or on the board, really care about this.

What's with all the open square cuts in the roof of the heritage building. Are they putting in skylights? Curious because I don't see any in the renders.
