It isn't very clear whether or not that is the case based on the above photo alone. In any case it wouldn't be unusual to see some deviation due to wind shear.

An explanation might be that the marble-application method was different at FCP: thinly sliced slabs applied as facade tiling. Whereas it was more "conventional" at GM--comparable to something looking the opposite way from Trump: 110 Yonge (which still looks good after 40 plus years)

FCP is also gunning for LEED certification. I can't believe any Trump would give a rat's patootie about sustainability.
 
We should make a poll on UT and ask how many people prefer the OLD cladding to the new. im sure the results prove most of us prefer the NEW to the old. Then we can show Trump Jr that his opinion doesnt reflect that of the majority of Torontonians
 
Long time follower...first time poster, I cant resist. FCP looks like a brand new tower, What does a Trump know about design, OMG have seen his Casinos. Jr. is just like his old man. Knob with bad bad hair.
 
there is no doubt that marble is a more desirable and luxury material than glass, but his pronouncements about the marble not being properly cared for and his conclusion about the rents FCP can now charge are opinion and not fact. Yes, the building does look infinitely better than it did when this renovation started, but its debatable if it looks better than when FCP was brand new. Bottom line is that this is a huge improvement to the aesthetics of the city's skyline for 2012 and beyond...

I see a block of about 6-7 empty floors about half way up... (you can see them in the night shot). anybody have the inside info on this? who were the old tenants and who might be looking to occupy these floors now?

InvestorLine just recently shipped a whole bunch of its employees out of FCP to the new call centre building in Mississauga (401/Mississauga Rd), although I am not sure if they were on those floors. I know for some people today Friday was the last day they were at FCP (and based on the higher than normal traffic levels eastbound on the 401 today through Toronto, some people will not be liking their new commute out to the new building).

Note that Junyer Trump didn't say *which* building it weathered well on;-) (And I presume that similar thin-sliced-tile marble technology was used on Aon as on FCP--again, it ain't the material, it's the manner of application.)

Law firm Fraser Milner Casgrain vacated 6-7 floors around the beginning of the year. Moved across the street to low floors in the Royal Trust Tower in TD Centre. No idea who is replacing them.
