anyone else notice that a significant chunk of the brick façade that's being held up by the bracing appears to have been thoroughly smashed?? walked by the other day and notice it. I wonder if anyone can grab a photo of it.

I've seen it, too. I assumed they hit it when they were taking down the bracing, but however it happened it got hit pretty good. Actually, there's a few sections of the facade that look pretty rough. It would be a shame if they went to all that trouble only to have to tear out large sections of it and redo it.

^Should've just torn this junk down and saved the effort, am I right!?

Seriously though, I have a feeling this block is going to look spectacular and will hopefully instill some confidence and vision for what can be done with the rest of Yonge downtown.

Speaking of which 1 Yorkville renderings should be out soon!

I am so ready to see the streetfront retail buildings!!! When do you think they'll take down the black scaffolding?

You'll be another year older, I predict.

On the tower portion, there are large notches in the concrete every 2-3 feet or so. I presume this is for the balcony cladding? I don't recall seeing that on other builds.

I believe that it's all part if the detailing for the undulating "wave" design of the balconies.
