yup! that's what i meant! that particular view/area (yorkville).. a very low-lying area of downtown, so Four Seasons stands out like a boss!

Yorkville is neither low lying nor downtown.

This tower stands out because it is simply enormous.

Well it's on higher ground than the CBD, plus it's a beast which makes it seem so dramatic from so many vantage points.

beautiful pics ^^^ some serious height balancing needs be done in the massive gap in between Four Seasons and the CBD...

In person it doesn't look as bad as the photo's would seem to indicate from that location. Wide angle, ground level shots with no zoom exaggerates the impact, or lack there of.

You've nicely captured what is aA single best contribution to the city.

Also, does anyone know what is the name of the building in the foreground? Its quite pleasing to the eyes as well, in a more subtly way of course.

It looks more bad from this angle than from Riverdale in person. There is a massive gap in the middle at this time, but will change in the next 10 years when the various 50's+ towers get built.

No wide angle shot for the photos about as they were stitch together using 3-5 shots.
