The progress on this dig has been quite amazing. I wonder how many truckloads of dirt they haul away on a daily basis.

from the Globe & Mail:

That's one pricey view

So what does the most expensive penthouse in Canada look like? It is due to be unveiled Sept. 18 as part of a hype-filled marketing program. But so far we know that it measures more than 9,000 square feet and features four terraces with "fabulous" lake and city views. Where is it? In the Four Seasons hotel and condo project under construction (the developer is Menkes Developments) in the Yorkville area of Toronto. Dubbed a "mansion-in-the-sky ... unlike anything ever seen in this city," it also will feature 12-foot ceilings, a glass galleria, four stone fireplaces (one opposite a free-standing tub in the master en suite bathroom), the obligatory wine cellar and "unique living arrangements for staff." Toronto carriage trade realtors have been following the upward trajectory of pricing in the Four Seasons "super prime" condo project every since the sales centre opened two years ago. So what's the asking price for Canada's most expensive penthouse? That's still under wraps, but rumour has it somewhere in the neighbourhood of $30-million.
