This is unusual:

Also really reminds me of Woodward's in Vancouver. Maybe a bit too much? Could it be a coincidence that both buildings have a similar flatiron form, curved corners, metal balcony guards, a projecting canopy at the top, and some kind of vertical filigreed panels?

From the HPA letter:

The original design for the project included a stamped metal vertical fin detail on the façade. Upon thorough investigation of the fabrication required, we were unable to locate a supplier that could produce and certify it at the scale required for the building.

In light of these challenges, we have made the decision to eliminate the vertical fin elements from the design. We firmly believe that maintaining the design integrity of the building is of paramount importance, and rather than compromising on the quality of the detailing, we have chosen to make this modification.

😞

sadly ... it does looks like it is the originally envisioned vertical stamped metal paneling is being eliminated

If someone has the opportunity to snap a pic this weekend, I passed by yesterday and couldn't take a picture, but they've started to install brick panels on the south side of the podium. It looked good from what I saw but I think it is a dark shade of red.
