it is no uglier than any of those other towers across from high park... but it certainly did not enhance the "highpark skyline" It really does look like a big retirement/ assisted living complex. Too much white for such a slab shape makes it look so institutional. I do like the plaza/ public art component though. That's neat, and suiting of the location.
Walking by again, I caught up with the retail fit-out here.
At the west end will be Rabba. Some shelving units have arrived, but nothing's happened inside for a bit.
Next door, there will be a salon.
Next door to it is where Enoteca 7 is going to go in. There was nothing much to see inside its windows other than what looked like it might be some HVAC equipment that had been delivered but not installed.
Just to the east of that is the courtyard, where July 24, 2016 was running on the screen.
On the east side of the courtyard, the fit-out of the café is underway behind the papered windows. To its east is currently a real estate office for suites here, which I'm guessing may be clearing out sometime soon, as the building is now sold out. Who knows what will go in there…
