The City of Brampton has posted the material for Public Information Centre No. 2: for Main LRT

Two options are being carried forward. One surface-tunnel, one surface-only. The two options are compared against each other. No new costing available. Timeline here:

Just to further clarify the timeline piece, since Spring 2021 started on March 20, 2021, the mention that of "Initiate New/Revised Transit Project Assessment process (TPAP) - Winter 2021" appears to show it has fallen behind since I don't believe it started.

^ What I'm saying is that the surface/tunnel option already does not, as shown in the materials posted above. It's dedicated lanes for LRT to roughly Nanwood, tunnel north of that for that option.

True, but I think there's no way they are going to find the money to tunnel. The only remaining surface option is mixed-traffic.

And for greater clarity, the surface option would have dedicated lanes from Steeles to Wellington, with only the Wellington to Brampton GO portion in mixed traffic (just like the Zum buses for a portion of the day when there is on-street parking).

I’m confused as to why Brampton is doing this work? Wouldn’t it be a metrolinx thing?
Metrolinx ended their involvement when Council voted against the HMLRT EPR for the Main St portion in 2015. Brampton Council then authorized its own study for alternative routes to Main. In 2018, the new Council voted 11-0 to reverse that decision and do an addendum study for Main LRT but Metrolinx isn't involved directly or leading it.

However, the Main corridor was shown in the Metrolinx 2041 RTP and then looked at in a February 2020 Advancing Transit Priorities Report.

Brampton staff say they are using the Metrolinx Business Case model to review the LRT options for Main.

So the station at Steeles will not be shifted north of the intersection?

One would assume that if the Extension is funded that it the HuLRT Gateway Station (expected opening in 2024), would be shifted to the north. In May 2019, City staff provided the following (rough) timelines for the opening of the Extension. I've provided an annotated version below.

And based on those options, here's what's now on the table in this PIC No. 2:

Some updates.
May/June will see the Third Virtual Open House

Excavation underway at Port Credit Parking lot to create a site to build the tunnel box that will be push under the rail corridor around the end of the year and will take a few weeks to do it. Once done, work will start on the station as part of the station walls will be built along with the tunnel box..
.
Work is to start this summer that will see Eaglewood Boulevard extended to Oriole Avenue over Mary Fix Creek and the Intersection on Hurontario being signalizes. Once done, the Inglewood Drive bridge over Mary Fix Creek will be remove along with the traffic light intersection. The creek will see new retaining wall which is underway now, as well a new bridge over it for the parking lot.

Construction will take place on the southbound lanes from Sherobee Road to Rathburn. Like the other 2 areas under construction, all will see new road and sidewalk before shifting to the other side.

Grading is taking place on the old Playium site as a staging area for the elevated guideway over the 403 starting in June. The guideway will be made up of precast sections and place using an cantilever bridge.

Not sure when work will take place for work on Hurontario 403 overpass.

Enclosing of the maintenance building well underway. The small building on the north side of the service bay is for washing and getting cars ready for service. All the area east of the complex has been raise as this will be the main entrances off Kennedy Rd for all vehicles with the LRV's using Top Flight to get to Hurontario St

All intersection should be done by June for the construction traffic lights.
