I suppose the area does get treated somewhat like a footnote, but as I live close-by to it, I'm not only quite aware how big the Humber Bay Shores area has gotten, but just how much more there is to come. Today is the day, in fact, when Eau du Soleil breaks ground, and that's likely the pair of towers which will firmly establish this area into everyone's consciousness (but not for a couple of years until they are pretty tall). Anyway, I'm always trying to help people get a better grasp of the scale down here so that there's more awareness of the planning issues, especially as they will concern the Mondelez lands, when those planning applications start to roll in.

Oh yeah, and the area needs a new GO Station.

I wish things could've been done differently in this area (ie: Condos being developed on the Mondelez lands, and a special kind a park area where all the existing development is taking place). But of course since this is Toronto, we'll most likely see another condo wall on the existing Mondelez lands regardless.

The area definitely needs a GO stations, but i'm not holding my breath on that one. For now let's just enjoy all the congestion that will be refreshing to see on a daily basis in the next 3-5 years.

Not long now before Key West tops off. From yesterday:

This is probably the most successful building along that stretch of Park Lawn Road so far (especially because of its proximity to westlake) . Initially I thought this would be a filler building because the renderings seemed uninspiring. The height and the slender form of the building is emphasized by the continuous vertical solid precast stripe. The staggered balconies also add an interesting texture to what could otherwise be a typical balcony wall. Overall I give it a 7/10.
