In Red Mars photo above, does anyone know what is happening to this building below, that is supported during construction with those braces? Is it part of the BIG project, or will it be kept as it is today? Does the BIG project go above this? I can look at the plans, but I am curious if anyone knows off hand. Thx!

I'm really struck by the immensity of the excavation pit. Anyone know if this will be a 4 crane affair?

From what I understand (was told by a supervisor on the site), there are to be just two cranes for the King Toronto project. One crane is to be located between the two towers on the eastern portion of the site, the other crane to be located between the two towers on the western portion of the site. The excavation for the base of the western crane can be seen now.

Based on where the footing for tower one is and the size of the hole, only 2 cranes for this site.

There is to be a staging platform to go east of the current one with footing in place
